Event Review & Lessons from BAKE Kenyan Blog Awards 2014

When i received an invite from Bloggers Association of kenya to attend the Kenyan Blog Awards i was so happy and there was no way i was going to miss it  even though my blog wasn't among the ones nominated in the fashion and beauty category.
I had a chance to interact with some of the bloggers,i had a chat with Sharon of This is Ess just after she had received her award, she won in the category of the best Fashion Blog and i could tell for a fact she has passion for what she does and above all she was grateful to her photographer Victor Peace i love how they both work as a team.
The whole time i was there i also got to interact with Lucia Musau ...well... she is a very good friend of mine and i adore her style!

Lucia's blog The Kenyan Fashionado was among the blogs nominated in the fashion Category i was so proud of her! She's also among the list of awesome bloggers i look up to and from  just interacting with her you can tell she has so much passion for what she does ,she is a go getter who believes in herself so much am glad she was able to correct me on a few areas on my blog that i need to work on.

The Ballroom we were in was just a buzz with bloggers who are so passionate about what they do,i could tell that from the way i interacted with them and for BAKE to put together this event was such a good idea as its a platform that recognizes the hardwork that bloggers put in.

All i can say is that Hard work, persistence, passion, courage and believing in yourself is all that it takes in everything that you do especially if its something that you are really passionate about, give it your all and others will believe in you and reward you for your hard work. That was a lesson learnt for me when i attended the event.

For a full list on the winners in the different categories you can check here.

Oh and before i forget i wore an African Print Midriff top and skirt and black ankle boots ,i will do an outfit post on the same outfit soon.
